Biography
Cary is an attorney and business expert that has been providing consulting services across the United States for the past fourteen years. Immediately out of law school, Cary hung his shingle and began guiding individuals and organizations on a wide range of legal and business issues. From corporate guidance, regulatory advisory, risk, compliance, privacy, contract review and drafting, to new business and product development, marketing strategy development and optimization, negotiation and mediation, and everything in between, Cary is considered by his peers and clients to be a jack of all trades; capable of understanding and mastering complex business deals quickly to provide immediate guidance and assistance to advance client objectives.
Community Involvement
City Councilman
Cary served as a city councilman in Audubon Park, Kentucky from 2012 to 2014 . During this time, Cary personally uncovered a variety of illegalities within the city that had been affected upon the population for over a decade. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal tax assessments had to be immediately reimbursed and the resulting half a million dollar budget deficit had to be suddenly reconciled to black.
Behind Cary’s leadership, the people responsible for nearly two decades of mismanagement were removed from office, the budget was reconciled, and fresh leadership was installed. In addition, because of Cary’s direct legal analysis and intervention, he was able to save his representatives hundreds of thousands of dollars in the avoidance of invalid severance contracts that had been plaguing the City’s budget for nearly a decade.
Cary’s time as city councilman wasn’t all about fixing government mismanagement; it was also about building new government programs and services as well. As a result of Cary’s own initiatives, Audubon Park birthed seasonal community festivals that created new income streams capable of producing millions of dollars in revenue to the city each year.
Philanthropic
Cary performed property history studies for Habitat for Humanity and in the years after law school led large rehabilitation teams in the development and reformation of residential homes in historical, culture-rich communities of Louisville, Kentucky.
After relocating home to Pensacola, Florida, Cary continued public service work in support of a familiar organization. As an alumni of the internationally acclaimed Pensacola Children’s Chorus (“PCC”), Cary happily accepted an offer to act as Treasurer for a newly formed PCC alumni association. Within a year, Cary accepted the role as board president, and proceeded for the next two years to lead a team of twelve strong, creative, and diverse people to bring about a thousand percent increase in total membership and a four hundred percent increase in operating revenue.
Coaching
Perhaps Cary’s greatest love is coaching. Cary has coached youth sports for over eight years. One of few coaches to never have a losing season, Cary understands how to build organizations, even in youth sports. He knows how to strategize, teach, and motivate individuals towards the collective goal. The values he instills in every team is the values that he lives by: 1) try your best, 2) listen carefully, and 3) maintain a positive attitude.
